Visual symptom picker

Tap what your print actually looks like — warping, stringing, Z-banding, and more. No searching, no guessing defect names.

Ranked root causes

The decision tree surfaces the most likely causes first, so you fix the probable culprit before chasing edge cases.

Slicer setting checklist

Each diagnosis returns concrete slicer adjustments and hardware checks, not a link to a Reddit thread from 2019.

How it works

1

Pick what the print looks like

Choose from six visual symptom cards that match common FDM failure modes.

2

Answer two or three quick questions

The decision tree narrows root cause based on your printer, material, and recent changes.

3

Get your ranked fix list

A prioritized checklist with slicer values and hardware checks lands instantly — no backend, no signup.

The hard way vs the easy way

The hard way
  • Cross-referencing Reddit, YouTube, and five wiki tabs
  • Guessing which of six causes applies to your specific failure
  • Wasting filament on fix attempts that miss the root cause
With PrintRx
  • One tool maps your visual symptom to the most likely root cause
  • Ranked fix list means you try the right thing first
  • Slicer adjustments are specific, not generic advice

FAQ

Does this work for Bambu printers with automatic calibration?

Yes. The symptom picker and fix logic apply to any FDM printer. Bambu-specific slicer paths are called out where they differ from open-source slicers.

What if my symptom is not in the six options?

The six cover the defects that account for the large majority of hobbyist failures. More symptoms are planned — the logic lives in a JSON file that is easy to extend.

Is there an image upload feature?

Not yet. The architecture leaves a clean extension point for AI vision, but the current MVP runs entirely in the browser with no backend or account required.
